What It Is
Parrot is a Paris drone group, founded in 1994 by Henri Seydoux, who is still its chairman, chief executive and main shareholder. It designs its aircraft in Europe and, by its own account, has them manufactured in the United States and South Korea. It has more than 450 staff and is listed on Euronext Paris.
It sells small professional drones to armed forces, police and government agencies, and reports two businesses: professional micro-UAVs, and “critical infrastructure solutions”, which is Pix4D, the Swiss photogrammetry software company it controls.
Key Products
ANAFI UKR — the drone behind Parrot’s recent growth, a small reconnaissance quadcopter sold to defense and security forces. Parrot says it can fly on 5G, Wi-Fi, a frequency-hopping military radio built to resist jamming, or a backup LoRa link, and that its XLR battery gives up to 70 minutes and 40 km. Two ANAFI UKR entries have been on the Pentagon’s Blue UAS Cleared List since 9 April 2025.
ANAFI USA — the earlier government quadcopter, with two entries on the Blue UAS Cleared List since 25 August 2022.
CHUCK 3.0 — an autopilot Parrot says is being demonstrated to customers and going through certification ahead of a possible commercial launch.
Business and Financial Position
Parrot’s 2025 revenue was €79.8 million. In the first nine months of 2026 it already reported €81.0 million, up 60%, with professional micro-UAV revenue up 110% to €58.7 million. Parrot named Sweden, Denmark, the United States, France and Canada among third-quarter ANAFI UKR buyers. The Pix4D business was flat at €22.1 million over nine months as it moves customers from one-off licences to subscriptions.
For 2026 Parrot expects about €80 million of micro-UAV revenue and about €110 million in all, and says the micro-UAV business will break even for the year. Those are company forecasts. In the first half of 2026 the group reported net income of €2.1 million, helped by €2.5 million of net insurance proceeds.
Why It Matters
Parrot is a European maker selling small military drones to several NATO governments at once, and its ANAFI drones are on the Pentagon’s Blue UAS list. Its growth since 2025 rests on one product family and on government orders, which arrive unevenly; the company itself describes a market of “significant fluctuations” in orders and deliveries. Pix4D, the other half of the group, has not grown with it.
