DJI Avata 360
The first FPV drone with a native 360° camera and the first with omnidirectional obstacle sensing. At 455 g it lives outside every sub-250 g exemption, and 23 minutes is what you get.

Antigravity A1
The first drone with a built-in 8K 360-degree camera, flown through goggles and a one-hand grip rather than sticks, at 249 g. New enough that nobody has flown it for a year, and $1,599 buys a way of flying as much as an aircraft.

DJI Neo 2
A 151 g self-flying camera with the omnidirectional sensing and forward LiDAR its predecessor lacked, at a price that makes it the cheapest DJI worth buying. Nineteen minutes and a 1/2-inch sensor are the limits.

DJI Mini 5 Pro
The first sub-250 g drone with a 1-inch sensor, and the best consumer drone you can buy in 2026 if you live somewhere DJI will sell it to you.

DJI Matrice 400
DJI's heavy-lift flagship: 59 minutes with a thermal camera fitted, a 6 kg payload, 40 km of link and a LiDAR-and-radar sensing set no rival matches at the price. Barred from federal buyers, and since September its import carries 25 percent duty, with 100 percent on the thermal payload.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro
The best camera ever put on a folding drone: a 100 MP Four Thirds Hasselblad with two telephotos behind it, 51 minutes in the air, and a gimbal that rotates through vertical. Not sold by DJI in the United States.

Autel EVO Max 4T V2
The other Chinese thermal drone American public safety bought: a 640 × 512 thermal, a 10x optical zoom, a 1.2 km rangefinder and radar-backed obstacle sensing in a 1.7 kg folding airframe, for about $2,000 less than a Matrice 4T. Autel is named on the FCC Covered List and the aircraft draws 100 percent import duty.

Potensic ATOM 2
The most credible budget drone under 250 g, and the one non-DJI sub-250 g camera drone an American can still buy from a shop. Know that it has no obstacle avoidance before you buy.

DJI Matrice 4T
The compact enterprise drone the Mavic 3 Thermal buyers moved to: three cameras, a 640 × 512 radiometric thermal, a laser rangefinder and 49 minutes in a 1.4 kg folding airframe. Barred from federal buyers and, since September, taxed at 100 percent on import.

DJI Air 3S
The best all-round camera drone DJI sells in the United States: a 1-inch main sensor, a 70 mm telephoto, 45 minutes and forward LiDAR, at a price that undercuts the Mavic line by half.

HoverAir X1 PROMAX
A flying camera rather than a drone: it follows you, films you in 8K and needs no piloting. Sixteen minutes and rear-only sensing are the price of the 192 g frame.

Skydio X10
A serious U.S.-made enterprise platform built around autonomy, sensors, and government-grade deployment rather than mass-market volume.

Black Hornet 4
A 70-gram reconnaissance helicopter a single soldier carries and flies, bought by the US Army since 2018 and sold to forces in more than 45 countries.

DJI Mini 4 Pro
The most capable sub-250g drone DJI has sold in the US, and the right choice for anyone who wants serious image quality without triggering registration for recreational flying in the US or Canada.

DJI Air 3
A dual-camera mid-range drone that covers most shooting scenarios for enthusiast creators, sitting cleanly between the Mini 4 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro in capability and price.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro
A three-camera consumer drone for serious enthusiasts and semi-professional creators who need optical zoom without switching platforms. Its successor, the Mavic 4 Pro, is not sold by DJI in the US.

DJI Matrice 350 RTK
The benchmark enterprise inspection platform — IP55-rated, dual-operator capable, and compatible with the broadest payload ecosystem available, but off-limits for US federal government use under NDAA restrictions.

Teal 2
A 1.25 kg night-reconnaissance quadcopter on the Blue UAS list, bought by Border Patrol and Air Force security units. DHS scored it lowest of five cleared drones in 2024, and its maker is now selling a successor.

DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise
A polished compact mapping and inspection drone, now discontinued by DJI in favour of the Matrice 4 series and sold only as remaining dealer stock.

Black Widow
The US Army's chosen short-range reconnaissance drone, built for rucksack portability and GPS-denied flight — its position rests on winning the SRR program of record rather than on any single specification.

DJI Mini 4K
DJI's cheapest drone and a sound first one: 4K, a three-axis gimbal and GPS hold under 250 g, but no obstacle sensing. DJI's US store now lists it as discontinued.

Freefly Astro Max
A US-built, Blue UAS-listed mapping and inspection quadcopter with open payloads and Auterion software, priced well above the DJI aircraft it replaces for buyers who can no longer buy DJI.

Inspired Flight IF800 Tomcat
A US-built open-payload quadcopter that carries 3 kg and flies ArduPilot, sold as the compliant replacement for a DJI Matrice. No obstacle avoidance, and a Blue UAS status that rests on the Green UAS route.
Nothing matches that filter.
