ARGUS Interception GmbH builds counter-drone systems in Rotenburg (Wümme), in Lower Saxony. It was founded in 2023 by former Bundeswehr officers, the company says, and its managing directors are Sven Steingräber, Christoph Rau and Dennis Rauscher.
Product
A1-Falke is a net interceptor: a drone that flies up to an intruding drone and catches it in a net instead of jamming it or shooting it down. ARGUS says capturing the drone intact lets investigators examine where it came from and how it was used. The company says the technology grew out of FALKE, a research project led by the Helmut Schmidt University, the Bundeswehr university in Hamburg. In June 2026 it announced Ouster lidar sensors on the A1-Falke. It has not published a speed or range.
Customers
ARGUS said on 26 September 2025 that it had delivered its net interceptor to the Bundeswehr, and on 2 February 2026 that it had delivered A1-Falke drones to the federal police. Neither release gave a number or a price. In October 2026 it said Hamburg’s police aim to put its systems into service before the end of the year.
On 14 October 2026 the Bundestag’s budget committee approved the Bundeswehr’s purchase of net-firing interceptor drones for base protection. The defence ministry named no maker, though the photo on its announcement is captioned as an Argus interceptor. ARGUS has not announced that order.
Business Position
The company is private and has published no revenue or funding figures. It joined the German aerospace industry association BDLI in October 2026.
