AVPL International

AVPL International is an Indian company operating across drone manufacturing, pilot training, and drone ecosystem development. Its primary markets are agricultural drone services, government-linked training programs, and — more recently — industrial drone manufacturing infrastructure through its Drone City Haryana project at Sisai, in the Hansi area of Haryana’s Hisar district.

Key Products

Agri Drones — multi-rotor spraying platforms for crop protection and precision agriculture, sold to farmers and agri-service providers across India.

Drone Pilot Training Programs — DGCA-approved certification courses for commercial drone pilots, offered through AVPL’s training centers and partner institutions.

Drone City Haryana — an 11.5-acre multi-tenant manufacturing campus housing 23 industrial sheds for drone and component manufacturers working on agricultural, industrial, logistics and surveillance UAVs; Phase-1 was inaugurated on 16 May 2026. AVPL says the campus will create employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for more than 800 young people in Haryana.

Business and Funding

Private. The Drone City Haryana project carries a stated investment of ₹80 crore (approximately $9.5M USD), with ₹58.51 crore (roughly $6.1M USD) in incentive support from the Haryana state government under the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy-2020. No external venture funding is publicly known. The company was founded by Preet Sandhu, who serves as Managing Director.

Why It Matters

AVPL is one of the few Indian drone companies attempting to build shared manufacturing infrastructure rather than just its own product line — the multi-tenant model at Drone City Haryana is unusual in the Indian market. The company’s partnership with the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation on the 500 Drone Udhami Scheme ties it into government-backed workforce development, which may support further state contracts. Its significance is largely domestic and regional; it has no visible export business or defense contracts as of mid-2026.
