What It Is

XAG is a Guangzhou company that makes drones for spraying, spreading and seeding crops. It trades as XAG; its legal name is Guangzhou Xaircraft Technology. Founder Peng Bin formed the XAircraft team in 2007 to build multirotor drones for hobbyists, and the business turned to farming after a crop-protection prototype flew in 2013 or 2014. It took the XAG name in 2019 or 2020.

XAG says its products sell in more than 60 countries and regions. It sells through authorised distributors and dealers. In Brazil, the farm-machinery group CNH launched its P150 and P60 at Agrishow in 2025 under the Case IH and New Holland brands.

Key Products

P series spraying drones are the core of the business. The current list is the P150 Max, P150, P100 Pro and P60. XAG unveiled the P150 Max at Agritechnica in November 2025 and says it carries 80 kg. Its modules for spraying, spreading, mapping and cargo swap in minutes, according to XAG.

XAG launched the P150 Max in the United States in February 2026 and called it “FCC-approved”.

R series rovers do the same work on the ground and launched in 2025. The APC2 autopilot console steers an existing tractor. XAG also sells smart-farm sensors and fertigation systems.

Business and Financial Position

XAG is private. It filed for a Hong Kong listing on 25 September 2025, with Huatai International as sole sponsor, Caixin reported. The filing showed 2024 revenue of 1.07 billion yuan and a net profit of 70.4 million yuan, the company’s first annual profit. Revenue for the first half of 2025 was 745 million yuan, a quarter of it from outside China.

It is the second attempt to list. XAG withdrew an application for Shanghai’s STAR Market in May 2022.

Why It Matters

XAG is the one maker in the FCC’s July 2026 import-ban proposal that is not accused of cloning anything. On 17 July the Commission proposed barring further import and marketing of nine companies’ previously authorised equipment. Eight were accused of selling copies of listed hardware and of ignoring the FCC’s letters. XAG’s letter, sent on 9 April, concerned its failure to keep its US agent’s details up to date.

The FCC deferred XAG’s grantee code on 16 July. The notice treats XAG’s drones as covered because they are made outside the United States, the same test that put every foreign-made drone on the Covered List on 22 December 2025. XAG filed comments against the proposal on 31 August and a further notice to the Commission on 29 September 2026.
