Draganfly

Draganfly is a Canadian drone company listed on Nasdaq as DPRO. It sells aircraft, payloads, software and services to public-safety, government, defense and commercial users. Its current aircraft range includes the Flex FPV, SOTEN, Commander 3XL and Heavy Lift Drone, alongside its newer Blitz optical-payload line.

Business and Financial Position

For the second quarter ended 30 June 2026, Draganfly reported revenue of $2.66 million, up 26.0 percent year on year. Product sales were $2.56 million, up 34.6 percent. Gross profit was $533,149 and gross margin was 20.0 percent, down from 23.9 percent a year earlier; the company attributed the decline to product mix and recorded a $43,662 non-cash inventory write-down.

The company reported a net loss of $12.0 million for the quarter and a comprehensive loss of $11.8 million. The latter included a one-time share-based-compensation grant of $3.74 million. Cash at 30 June 2026 was $131.9 million, compared with $90.2 million at the end of 2025.

Recent Product and Corporate Developments

During the quarter, Draganfly completed its acquisition of Skip Dynamix’s fixed-wing drone technology, intellectual property and infrastructure, adding a fixed-wing capability to its portfolio. It also launched the Blitz payload line, entered an exclusive distribution and development agreement with Japanese manufacturer ACSL for Canada, and said two additional US Department of War units had selected its Flex FPV system.

Draganfly and F4 Defense International were selected to develop an integrated counter-UAS system. Selection to develop a system is not evidence of an operational deployment or production order, and the company did not state a contract value in the release.

Why It Matters

Draganfly is assembling a broader catalogue rather than depending on one airframe: fixed-wing technology, FPV aircraft, optical payloads and a Japanese-manufactured line each expand the routes to market. The small quarterly revenue base and negative margin trend remain the constraint. Recent product and customer announcements need to turn into recurring orders before they establish a durable operating business.
