It targets survey companies, utilities, construction firms, and emergency services that need a portable, deployable system without the weight and cost of larger enterprise platforms.

Pricing

Street pricing varies widely by configuration and dealer. The base airframe starts a little under $3,700, bundles with DJI Care land between roughly $4,500 and $4,950, and the thermal variant sits near $6,700. Configuration, not discounting, drives most of that spread.

DJI publishes no IP ingress protection rating for the Mavic 3E. An IP43 rating previously appeared on this page and could not be traced to a DJI source; it has been removed rather than corrected.

Wide-camera video tops out at 4K, 3840 × 2160 at 30fps. The 5.1K figure that circulates for the Mavic 3 line belongs to the consumer Mavic 3 Pro and Pro Cine, not to the Enterprise variant.

Use Cases

Cadastral and topographic survey where the mechanical shutter eliminates rolling shutter distortion and the optional RTK module removes the need for ground control points. Utility and infrastructure inspection where the 56× hybrid zoom allows close visual examination from a safe standoff distance. Emergency services deployment where compact size and fast setup time matter more than payload capacity.

Market Context

The Mavic 3E competes primarily with the Autel EVO Max 4T in the compact enterprise segment. The Autel platform offers thermal imaging as a standard feature; the Mavic 3E requires the separate thermal variant.

Within DJI’s own line the choice is against the Matrice 350 RTK, which carries interchangeable payloads and is IP55 rated, against the Mavic 3E’s fixed cameras and no published ingress rating. The Mavic 3E wins on portability and price; the Matrice wins on everything to do with payload and weather.

DJI’s NDAA restrictions apply — the platform is not cleared for US federal government or military procurement, and buyers under those rules should start from the Blue UAS Cleared List or look at the Skydio X10. It remains the most widely deployed compact enterprise drone in private-sector workflows globally.
